Cashback Enquiries for DBS PayLah!

1. How do I earn Cashback with DBS PayLah! on ShopBack In-Store?

 First, please ensure your DBS PayLah! and ShopBack accounts are linked (via your DBS PayLah! App, as detailed in the ‘Linking Accounts’ section). Once the two accounts are linked, you will earn instant Cashback when you make payments using: 

  • DBS PayLah! (via NETS QR) or
  • DBS/POSB NETS Card (with PIN)

at any ShopBack In-Store partner that accepts DBS PayLah! (via NETS QR) or NETS payments.

Note: Cashback can only be earned by DBS PayLah! users who have registered with their DBS/POSB iBanking account, and is only applicable to customers who have linked their PayLah! account to their DBS or POSB deposit account.

QR codes with both the DBS PayLah! and NETS logos are generally eligible for Cashback. You may also scan the QR code on the physical payment terminal to earn Cashback. Please see guidelines and images below for payment acceptance points which are eligible for Cashback:

2. Where can I earn Cashback when I transact with DBS PayLah! (via NETS QR) or DBS/POSB NETS Card (via PIN)?

At all ShopBack In-Store partners that accept payments via NETS QR or DBS/POSB NETS Card (with PIN)

3. Can I earn Cashback on payments made with PayNow QR, DBS/POSB digibank Scan and Pay, and DBS/POSB Debit or Credit (Visa/Mastercard etc) cards?

No – payments made using PayNow QR, and DBS/POSB digibank Scan and Pay are not eligible for Cashback. Only payments made using DBS PayLah! (via NETS QR) and DBS/POSB NETS Card (with PIN) are eligible.

If you wish to earn Cashback using your DBS/POSB Debit or Credit card/s, you will need to link them individually to ShopBack via the Link/Manage Payment Methods settings on the ShopBack app.

4. Is there a minimum spend to earn Cashback for this program?

Generally, there is no minimum spend needed. Once your DBS PayLah! and ShopBack accounts are successfully linked, you will earn Cashback for purchases made using DBS PayLah! (via NETS QR) and/or DBS/POSB NETS Cards (with PIN) at all ShopBack In-Store partners that accept PayLah! (via NETS QR) and/or DBS/POSB NETS.

5. Is there a cap on the amount of Cashback that I can earn?

Unless otherwise stated, there is no cap on the amount of Cashback you can earn.

6. Is there an expiry date to the Cashback that I earned? Can it be reinstated once it has expired?

Yes, there is an expiry date – all available Cashback will expire if you did not make any purchase within one year of your last transaction.

A reminder email will be sent approximately 2 months before your Cashback expires, to ensure there is enough time to keep your account active (by making a successful purchase where the Cashback is tracked).

In case your Cashback expires, you will first need to reactivate your account by making a purchase, and earn $10 in redeemable Cashback before our support team can reinstate your previously expired Cashback. For assistance, please write to help@shopback.sg.

7. What should I do if my Cashback is not being awarded to my ShopBack account instantly?

To ensure instant awarding of Cashback, please ensure your DBS PayLah! and ShopBack accounts are successfully linked. If your Cashback hasn’t been awarded within 7 days of your purchase, please file a Missing Cashback request, along with a store receipt as proof of purchase, via Support under “Account” settings on the ShopBack app.

8. I received an incorrect amount of Cashback for my transaction – what should I do?

Please contact our Support team at help@shopback.sg or via Support under “Account” settings on the ShopBack app.

9. How do I link my ShopBack and DBS PayLah! accounts?

You will need to link your ShopBack and DBS PayLah! accounts via the DBS PayLah! app:

  1. Tap the ShopBack icon on the homepage of the DBS PayLah! app
  2. Select “Link Accounts” to be redirected to the ShopBack app (download the ShopBack app and sign up for an account if you don’t already have one) 
  3. Enter your DBS PayLah!-registered mobile number 
  4. Verify the number to complete linking the accounts

Note: Programme is only applicable to DBS PayLah! users who have registered with their DBS/POSB iBanking account.

10. How many DBS PayLah! accounts can I link to my ShopBack account?

Each ShopBack account can be linked to a maximum of one (1) DBS PayLah! account at a time and vice versa.

11. Can I only link one account from my DBS PayLah! app to ShopBack? 

Yes, you can only link one account from the DBS PayLah! App.

12. I have tried to link my DBS PayLah! and ShopBack accounts but the ShopBack account has already been linked to a DBS PayLah! Account. What should I do? 

You can unlink your ShopBack account in the DBS PayLah! app and retry after 24 hours. If you require further assistance, please contact our Support team at help@shopback.sg. 

13. I have tried to link my DBS PayLah! and ShopBack accounts but am unable to do so. What should I do?

14. How do I unlink my ShopBack and DBS PayLah! accounts from the DBS PayLah! app? 

To unlink your accounts:

  1. Tap on “More” in the DBS PayLah! app 
  2. Select “Manage Linked Services” 
  3. Tap on the cross icon next to ShopBack to unlink your account

Note: It may take a few hours for your ShopBack account to be unlinked. If you want to link a new account, you will need to wait until the previous one has been successfully unlinked.

15. How do I unlink my ShopBack and DBS PayLah! accounts from the ShopBack app? 

To unlink your accounts:

  1. Go to the Link/Manage Payment Methods screen on the ShopBack app, and tap on the icon beside PayLah! to delink 
  2. You will be redirected to the DBS PayLah! app 
  3. Tap on “More” in the DBS PayLah! app 
  4. Select “Manage Linked Services” 
  5. Tap on the cross icon next to ShopBack to unlink your account

Note: It may take a few hours for your ShopBack account to be unlinked. If you want to link a new account, you will need to wait until the previous one has been successfully unlinked.

16. I want to change my DBS PayLah! number but it has already been linked. What should I do?

When you change your DBS PayLah! number, you will have to unlink your account and re-link the account to ShopBack again in order for you to earn and withdraw cashback with ShopBack and PayLah!:

  1. Tap on “More” in the DBS PayLah! app 
  2. Select “Manage Linked Services” 
  3. Tap on the cross icon next to ShopBack to unlink your account (Note: It may take a few hours for your ShopBack account to be unlinked).
  4. Proceed to link your DBS PayLah! account to ShopBack again the next day by clicking on the ShopBack tile within the DBS PayLah! app.
  5. Contact ShopBack if you are unable to link your account again after 24 hours.

17. What happens if I enter a number that is not my registered PayLah! number?

If you add a number that is not your PayLah! Number, withdrawal of Cashback to your PayLah! account will fail, and you will be notified by email.

18. Can I see my transaction history in the ShopBack app?

Yes, you can see your transaction history on the ShopBack app.
