1) Can I download / install Extension on Safari?
Great news for iPhone users! For the time being, we are supporting Safari Extension on your iPhone. There are 4 steps to installing on your iPhone.
Step 1: Make sure you have updated your iOS ShopBack’s app to the latest version >v4.3.0.
Step 2: Open your Safari > Click on the “aA” icon on your URL bar.
Step 3: Tap on “Manage Extensions”, > Turn on “ShopBack”.
Step 4: When prompted by iOS, chose “Always Allow” and “Always Allow for every website” so that ShopBack can track which merchants have Cashback.
You can change these settings anytime in your iOS settings.

2) How do I know if the merchant that I’m shopping at has Cashback?
If you have turn-on Mobile Safari Extension, You will be able to see a Notifier > showing the % of Cashback as you visit a merchant site.
If you have login successfully, you will be able to click on it to “Activate”, and it will turn green, signifying that once you check-out, you will earn the Cashback.
If you are unable to see the notifier, please turn off and on again, or it can be because the merchant is not an affiliate merchant partner of ShopBack,
3) How do I know how much Cashback will I get?
For certain merchants, there are different Cashback tiers for different categories.
Click on the “aA”, click on “ShopBack”, and tap on <Store Info> to check on the Cashback Tier for each categories.
4) Why do I see “Cashback Tracking is not allowed” ?
In order for us to track and attribute the Cashback to you, you will need to ensure you grant permissions to ShopBack to access the websites that you are visiting.
You might want to turn off and on the Mobile Safari, and follow the Steps again to activate. See highlighted in yellow.
Remember to “Review” the iOS permission and choose “Always Allow” and “Always allow on all website”.
You can always change these settings in your iOS > Settings > Safari > Extensions. See highlighted in pink.
To reset, please chose "Allow" or "Ask" for the merchant sites that you are shopping as well as for "Allow" for the ShopBack website.
Please avoid using other type of affiliate tracking service and turn them off to avoid error.
5) How do I logout or switch country?
When you first turn on the mobile safari extension, you will be able to choose which market and account that you’d like to login from. If you want to change accounts, you will have to visit shopback.com
If you’d like to switch accounts, after you have logged in, we are pleased to inform you that the Logout functionality will be ready around Q3 2022.
6) If my favourite merchants have an upsize promotions, will I receive notifications on my Safari?
For the time being, you won’t be able to tell whether the merchants that you are at, is having upsizes or not. We are working on improving it! For any other feedback please email us at research@shopback.com.
7) Why am I not able to see the “Deals” or promo code available for the merchants?
Great suggestion, this is a feature that we are planning to be ready by end of Q3 2022.
8) How do I uninstall ShopBack button on mobile safari?
You can turn it off by going to aA URL bar in Safari, OR going into iOS > Settings > Safari > Extension > and disable the Safari Extension.
9) Should I turn off other safari extensions to ensure proper cashback tracking?
Yes, it is advisable to only have 1 extension turn-on, to prevent conflict with any other affiliate tracking extensions.
