Activate your data plan

After installing your eSIM, your data plans become Ready for Use. It will activate automatically upon connecting to a local network at your travel destination. 

Please ensure you have configured your device so that the eSIM can connect to a local network – you may do this before landing for a smoother experience. 

  1. Open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Service
  2. Select your eSIM
  3. Turn on This Line
  4. Turn on Data Roaming
  5. Turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching
  6. Set new eSIM as preferred data SIM

 

Having trouble?

  • Make sure Data Roaming is on
  • Make sure you have selected the ShopBack eSIM for Mobile Data in your device’s SIM Manager.
  • Try turning Airplane mode on and off

Still no data after these steps? Open the ShopBack app → Account → My eSIMs → select your eSIM → Need help? Troubleshoot eSIM activation issues → follow the steps to Replace eSIM.
