This guide covers everything you need to know about managing and updating your email address, mobile number and other personal details. We’ll explain how you can view and update these details on the ShopBack app and website.
How to update your email address
Hurray, you can now update your email address through the ShopBack app or web!
- While logged into your ShopBack account, go to Account → Account and Security → Personal info.
- Tap on your currently registered email address to edit.
- To keep your account safe, you’ll need to verify your email address by entering the 6-digit OTP code sent to your registered email address.
- If your code doesn’t arrive after waiting for 1 min, you can request another code.
- Once you’ve verified it’s you, enter your new email address.
- Please proceed to verify your new email address so that you can cash out if needed.
- Hover over the Account icon next to your Cashback earnings
- Click on Account Information. Or use this link if you’re logged in: Update personal details.
- You’ll be able to see the email address currently registered to your account. Click Update Email Address.
- To keep your account safe, you’ll need to verify your email address by entering the 6-digit OTP code sent to your registered email address.
- If your code doesn’t arrive after waiting for 1 min, you can request another code.
- Once you’ve verified it’s you, enter your new email address.
- Please proceed to verify your new email address so that you can cash out if needed.
If you do not have access to your registered email address, please reach out to Sparky, ShopBack’s friendly virtual assistant, we will be happy to help. All you need to do is answer a set of questions to verify that it’s really you. This will help us update your email address safely.
How to update your mobile number
To update your mobile number:
- While logged into your ShopBack account, go to Account → Account and Security → Personal info.
- Tap on your currently registered phone number to edit.
- To keep your account safe, you’ll need to confirm your current mobile number and password.
- Once you’ve verified it’s you, enter your new number.
- We’ll send a verification text message to the new number. Enter the code.
- If your code doesn’t arrive after waiting 30 seconds, you can request another code. You can choose to receive it via SMS, WhatsApp or phone call.
- After you’ve successfully verified your OTP code, your phone number will be updated.
- Hover over the Account icon next to your Cashback earnings
- Click on Account Information. Or use this link if you’re logged in: Update personal details.
- You’ll be able to see the mobile number currently registered to your account. Click Edit Mobile Number.
- To keep your account safe, you’ll need to confirm your current mobile number and password.
- Once you’ve verified it’s you, enter your new number and click Next.
- We’ll send a verification text message to the new number. Enter the code.
- If your code doesn’t arrive after waiting 30 seconds, you can request another code. You can choose to receive it via SMS, WhatsApp or phone call.
- After you’ve successfully verified your OTP code, your phone number will be updated.
Note that you won't be able to update your mobile number if you still have any outstanding ShopBack PayLater payments.
How to update your personal details
To update your personal details:
- While logged into your ShopBack account, go to Account → Account and Security.
- Tap Personal info.
- Here, you can update your name, gender, birthday, address line, and postal code.
- Tap Save on the right upper hand corner to save any changes you’ve made.
- Hover over the Account icon next to your Cashback earnings.
- Click on Account Information. Or use this link if you’re logged in: Update personal details
- Here, you can update your name, gender, birthday, address line, and postal code.
- Click Update Information to save any changes.
