Answers to common questions about using ShopBack in Muse. To get set up, see Connect ShopBack to Muse.
Can I use ShopBack in Muse outside Singapore?
For now, ShopBack in Muse is only available to ShopBack members in Singapore.
Can Muse make the purchase for me?
Yes, once you approve it. Muse can take your ShopBack link and complete the booking or purchase for you, or you can click through and do it yourself. Either way, you buy from the merchant, and Muse asks for your approval before it spends anything.
What Muse can buy for you, and how it pays, depends on what you've allowed Muse to do and the payment method you've asked it to use. For dining deals, Muse claims the promo for you, and you redeem it in-store in the ShopBack app.
Are the prices Muse shows final?
No. Prices Muse shows are estimates and can change at checkout. Your Cashback is based on the final price you pay.
When will I get my Cashback?
Purchases through Muse are tracked like any other ShopBack purchase and follow the usual Cashback timings. They show up in your account as normal Cashback. See Cashback status issues for how long each status takes.
My Cashback is missing. What should I do?
Report it the same way as any other purchase. See Report missing Cashback. This covers purchases Muse completes for you and ones you complete yourself.
Why isn’t ShopBack showing up in Muse’s answers?
Muse doesn’t always bring in ShopBack on its own, even after you’ve connected. To make sure it does, include the keyword "cashback" in your prompt, or ask Muse to use ShopBack. For example: “Find me the best cashback deals for flights to Tokyo.”
Tip: to skip this step next time, ask Muse to save your preference to always use ShopBack when finding the best travel, food and shopping deals.
